Washington Mutual "just say yes" motto

Saying Yes, WaMu Built Empire on Shaky LoanswritePost();new_york_times:http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/28/business/28wamu.html [Photo][Photo]
By PETER S. GOODMAN and GRETCHEN MORGENSON Published: December 27, 2008 “We hope to do to this industry what Wal-Mart did to theirs, Starbucks did to theirs, Costco did to theirs and Lowe’s-Home Depot did to their industry. And I think if we’ve done our job, five years from now you’re not going to call us a bank.”
“It was just disheartening,” said Sherri Zaback, a mortgage screener for Washington Mutual. “Just spit it out and get it done. That’s they wanted us to do. Garbage in, garbage out.” The Reckoning Mortgage Factory Articles in this series have explored the causes of the financial crisis. Ann Coulter really is a stupid bitch

Ann Coulter insults disabled Vietnam vet. Read on

Eight months later, Coulter's relationship with MSNBC ended permanently after she tangled with a disabled Vietnam veteran on the air. Robert Muller, co-founder of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, asserted that "in 90% of the cases that U.S. soldiers got blown up in Vietnam—Ann, are you listening—they were our own mines." Coulter, who found Muller's statement laughable, averted her eyes and responded sarcastically: "No wonder you guys lost."

Black Friday Saturday and Sunday

I have to admit I am really disappointed in all you shoppers that were out this weekend buying all the crap that they are shoving down our throats. We decided this Christmas we are not exchanging gifts. Not only because of all the money we don't need to spend this year but also sending a message to the retail world that they can keep the overpriced crap.

Enough is Enough

Ok, I will admit that I like the fact that the stores are begging for our business. I like the fact that they will have to work at getting us back in the stores. Although I have no interest in buying that flat screen, cool electronics or any of the fancy crap that they keep advertising on tv. Then I have no desire to keep up with everyone else out there that seems to need all that to make themselves feel worthy or as good as everyone else. Or are they trying to be happy???
This is exactly what the big corporations what us all to do is to go out and buy and put it all on your credit cards. How do your think that the ceo's are going home with multimillion dollar paycheck's?
Wake up, your doing just what they want you to do. Don't buy it you don't really don't need it. Your kids will still love your if you don't have all the newest crap. Teach your children to think outside the box. That they are intelligent human beings without having to be a "follower".
